Nothing suits the Aussie way better than getting the deal done or taking a break
over a coffee or cool drink in an open, shady street setting – and Bondi’s Café
Bar delivers, with the greens and browns of Australia’s billabongs, wetlands and
rainforests, suspended basket seating and falling rain gently breaking the surface
of a waterhole.

The Café Bar is all wood, but the first thing you notice is the hanging baskets that
dominate the space. Known as the Fish Traps because they were inspired by the
millennia-old tools used by Aborigines hunting in streams and estuaries, these
huge suspended baskets seat four to six for coffee or drinks.

Surrounding it is a series of huge revolving panels, embedded with the green and
brown spears of the grass tree of Western Australia. By opening or closing the
panels, we can make three separate areas for your event, or open the whole
space up to create one enormous room in which to party!
